Spoiler Alert!

This article/section contains minor/major details about some specific episode/s.

Role in the Series

Wrecker first appeared in Episode 6 when having his troop of endermen killing a human. Shortly after that he spotted Colin and Red and chased after them, and this ended in a battle between the group and his endermen. Wrecker himself was putting out the torches while his endermen fought, causing monsters to spawn and aiding him in the fight. After that he knocked Porkey temporarily defenseless, but just before he would have killed him Shadow showed up in his enderman form. They started to fight, and while the end of the battle wasn't seen, Shadow must have been victorious. However, during the fight Wrecker managed to cause a minor landslip to stop Colin and Red from getting away. Porkey was the one to save them by finding an entrance to another cave. He later reported the battle to the Endermaster, who was surprisingly pleased with the information.

He made his next appearance in Episode 8, when assisting Endreai in building a ship. He was the only one not falling for Shadow's trick, and his suspicions made him sneak on board with them. He waited below deck until night fell, and then he found Red sleeping in a bed. He placed his endblade against his neck while singing a modified version of "Hush, Little Baby", but his murder attempt failed when Click-Clack and Shadow showed up and he was forced to escape. In the battle against him he also lost his eye thanks to Click-Clack. He was then promoted to general and given an obsidian helmet that covered up his eye socket.

He more recently appeared in the leaders flashback in episode 10, when the war started. Back then, he was the captain. He insisted that they should just leave the leader and "let his sorrow consume him" after wrecker killed his family. This is obviously like him. Another appearance is when he attempts to cross the ocean with 2 dirt blocks by placing one in front of the other stepping on it then moving that into the front and then stepping on that.

Warning: Spoiler
In episode 11, by many weeks, Wrecker finally reaches the rebel city. With Click-Clack sending Nobryanes to warn the Rebels, with the episode ending with the Enderman teleporting to the city and Wrecker laughing.

In the next episode he is watching over the battle, giving orders to the endermen. He also destroys the iron golem by swinging it around and ripping off its head. The triplets suggest using sponges to remove the water that the rebels filled the city with, and he agrees while also ordering some endermen to bring TNT to blow up the wall. Then he steals flint and steel from a rebel and kills him. After that he tips the watchtower over, and moments later the wall is blown up. Wrecker is then seen trying to kill Colin, only to be stopped by Porkey. At the end of the battle is kills a rebel by tossing a block of cobblestone on him, and then he sees the rebel leader. Remembering him from before, Wrecker greets him. The rebel leader doesn't recognize him, and Wrecker reminds him by saying he killed his family. This naturally makes him very angry, and after Wrecker kills one of his own endermen because he didn't want to give his endblade to him and ordered the others to leave, the two battle alone on the island. Throughout the battle Wrecker taunts the rebel leader, even giving him combat advice. Eventually he disarms him, and orders him to pick up his weapon so they can keep going. Instead the rebel leader secretly pulls out a dagger and tries stabbing Wrecker, but instead Wrecker cuts off his arm. The wound becomes too much and the rebel leader has to give up. Wrecker is disappointed by how fast he allowed himself to be defeated and pushes him around for a while. Then he whispers to him about how defeating him makes him more valuable and better than the rebel leader. When he's done talking he sings a twisted version of "Twinkle, twinkle, little star" before finally killing the rebel leader.

Later he reports the victory to the Endermaster, who is displeased with him being absent for so long. Wrecker apologizes and tells his master to punish him. However the Endermaster was only teasing him and instead congratulates him, wanting to reward him. His reward becomes to be the Endermaster's personal sparring partner, something Wrecker is very excited about. The Endermaster then orders him to make sure every rebel who escaped the city must be killed, a task that Wrecker happily accepts.

In the unfinished Episode 13, he goes over to see the Triplets who were attempting to hide the humans from his sight but he sees the humans anyways. The Triplets say they were planning a trap, but Wrecker prefers to have his enemies running around and struggling, he also catches Endy and the other Triplets having sympathy for the enemy and so stabs Endy for lying and lets them off with a stern warning. He later is with another group of Endermen in a cave and stay there as he predicts the humans will go underground, all of them come across a mineshaft which they explore, they eventually find a railway and Wrecker orders his men to stay in a certain position while he destroys some of the track. He later spots Nobrayanes heading down the railway in a minecart and comments on how he's the weakest person in the human group, eventually he comes face to face with the group which they are on a stone column and Wrecker starts throwing TNT at the column, Click-Clack manages to shoot a fire arrow at Wrecker's TNT though and so Wrecker teleports away from the explosion, he also sees the group fall into the lava and so assumes the group died, but sees that Katie got off the falling platform and so goes after her. He eventually catches up with her and Katie surrenders and wishes to join sides with the Endermen, Wrecker is reluctant to comply but takes her to the Endermaster in hoping he will just kill her, but to his dissatisfaction, the Endermaster accepts her and gives her special mage powers as he encourages humans to submit to him. That is about what happens in the Episode 13 plot.

Later on he overhears a conversation between Enderia and Katie where Enderia is going to fight the Wither King. He then get's summoned by the Endermaster when he feels like Enderia was killed by the Wither King. The Endermaster asks Wrecker if he knows anything about Enderia leaving. Wrecker explains he last saw Enderia speaking to Katie, omitting the part he saw Enderia leave. This is because he is jealous on how Katie became powerful for weak and cowardness and thus was trying to get her in trouble. The Endermaster then explains to Wrecker that Experiment Points are fragments of a soul and that killing the Wither King can allow for Enderia's soul to be collected and be reincarnated into a Dragon Egg. Wrecker is pleased to learn the world he lives in does have a way of gaining someone's power after you kill them. In the climax of the series, Wrecker fights against Shadow on the Endermaster's Castle and does much better since he was trained by the Endermaster at some point that is not really explained, as he is about to win the fight, the Triplets start throwing blocks at him and one perfectly aimed block hits his head and he falls down one of the tower's, he survives but his right eye get's impaled by his own sword, thus killing him.

Appearance

Wrecker looks like an average enderman, but he is wearing an obsidian helmet with horns and a piece covering his missing eye. The helmet is similar to the ender colossus from the farlanders mod.

Personality

Most endermen kill humans only because the Endermaster forces them. Wrecker doesn't. He actually enjoys killing people, and he has shown a creepy, slenderman-like side when attempting to assassinate Red in his sleep. He can therefore be described as sadistic and homicidal. He is also cunning, thinking with the mind of a tactician. He is very hard to fool. He is also vengeful, and if defeated he will start a vendetta, not resting until the person he failed to kill is dead. But even though he is wicked and threatening he still fears the Endermaster, acting insecure and expecting the worst in his presence.

He also has a twisted philosophy that killing someone makes you better, as if you absorb the strength of your victims. He described it as that when you die, all the people you killed and all they killed etc become your slaves in the afterlife. But only if you were not killed by someone. He therefore takes great pleasure in killing, but also in the mere act of fighting, shown by how he didn't take the chance to kill the rebel leader after disarming him but instead telling him to go get his weapon, wanting to make the fight last.

Wrecker has a pretty dark backstory given to him by Willcraft in a blogpost:

"Even when Wrecker was a child he was very violent, attacking humans without being provoked. He didn't understand why humans had to make the first move. After all, that gave them a combat advantage. So he lived by the rule "Kill them before they kill me", which was anything but popular among the other endermen. They tolerated him, but avoided him. He had no friends and his parents found it difficult to take his side when he got into trouble.

But one day he crossed the line. He did something so horrible that his parents disowned him, and enraged by this Wrecker tossed them off The End, into The Void where they met their deaths. This event hardened his heart and twisted his thoughts even more. Due to his incredible strength (The cause of his strength is still not decided. Currently I've had the idea of having it be because he fell into a witch's brew as a toddler, an obvious reference to a certain gaul) he thought it was actually a good thing that his parents were dead. That meant he was truly unique as he was the last one in his family. The only one left with his blood. And he had no intention of spreading it by having children. No, they wouldn't be worthy of having someone as strong as him as a father. He wanted to be alone with this gift."

Abilities

Wrecker is incredibly strong. He can easily smash through walls and stomp to cause small earthquakes. He is also a skilled swordsman, and thanks to his endblade he can also create shock-waves. His intelligence should also be noted, since he does think of other solutions than just killing and is hard to deceive.

Trivia

  • Wrecker is the only enderman to use an endblade apart from Endreai, probably given to him due to his rank as captain/general.
  • He is the only one who has survived Porkey's wrath (he defeated the pig), thanks to his strength, intelligence and his endblade.
  • When he sung his lullaby to the sleeping Red in Episode 8, that was the only official time when an enderman's grunting almost sounded like actual talking. His short grunts was in the same tone as the words he said in the subtitles.
  • He appears to be quite strong, or just determined, due to the fact that he smashed down cobblestone by the cave entrance, and his name.
  • His helmet is inspired on Midna, a character from Legends of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
